Add a Rush to Your Canadian Rockies Tour: Explore the Mountains on a Snowmobile
Snowmobiling isn’t permitted within the confines of Banff National Park, but it is nevertheless a great way to explore the rugged alpine terrain of the Canadian Rockies in Western Canada’s Alberta province — which still leaves much to explore, and plenty of places to play. It’s also a great way to enjoy the spectacular scenery the unspoiled, wintry wilderness provides.
With that in mind, several local tour operators in and around Banff provide direct transportation from Banff to their recreation plots outside the park, where snowmobiles are permitted. Several different tour lengths are available, ranging from 2-hour to multi-day tours, for snowmobilers of all levels of experience. Tours may include additional winter activities, such as ice-fishing.
We can recommend Banff Travel for Canadian Rockies snowmobile tours. They offer a variety of tours and packages, including dogsled and snowmobile combo trips, full- and half-day trips, and backcountry tours.
